The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska announced that on the weekend and on the day of the repeat early elections for the president, the document issuing services will be open again.
The government justifies the work of these services on the weekend when elections are held by saying that it is a “usual practice”, with the aim of enabling the collection of valid documents in order to exercise the right to vote.
Thus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS informs the citizens that, on the occasion of the holding of early elections again, on weekends, locations for issuing personal documents of the Ministry will be open in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopara, Ugljevik, Osmac, Zvornik, Vlasenica, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća and Milići, namely:
- on Saturday, February 7, 2026, between 07:00 and 15:00 and
- on Sunday, February 8, 2026, between 07:00 and 19:00.
On the specified days, citizens will have access to reports of identity cards, residence, residency and JMB, including the acquisition.
While it’s not really surprising that document-issuing sites are open on election day, hiding information about how many documents were issued and to whom during the early November election raises suspicions of potential election engineering.
The fact that the SNSD in the RS and the SNS in Serbia always “exchange” voters on election day is particularly symptomatic. That is, a large number of people from Serbia can be seen on election day, e.g. in Srebrenica, as a large number of Bosnians and Herzegovina can be seen in the elections in Serbia.
