Coffee prices in BiH wild again, here is how much it costs only 200 grams

Coffee prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to grow, and the latest example comes from Tuzla, where the Tuzlainfo.ba team recorded a price of as much as 7.10 KM for a package of 200 grams of minced coffee.

This is a strong jump compared to the previous months, without talking about prices from last year.

The cause of price increase lies in global factors – the price of crude coffee on world stock exchanges has reached record values, which is a consequence of weather in Brazil, the largest coffee producer. The ton of coffee on the stock exchange recently exceeded $ 5,000, which is the highest level in the last 13 years.

In addition to the raw material basis, additional shock represent disorders in supply chains and increased transport costs. As a result, producers in BiH even previously announced new increases from 10 to 15 percent, which we now witness, and consumers are already feeling the consequences now.

Coffee in grain and above 45 km per kilogram

In the markets, half pounds are most often sold at the lowest price that does not go below 12 km, while coffee in catering facilities also collects from 3 and more KM per cup, depending on the location and type of drink. It is interesting that the price of bathtub is also in grain, for those who use coffee machines most often between 30 and 45 km.

Regardless of all, the coffee remains an indispensable part of the daily lives of BiH citizens, because coffee has a special place in domestic culture and that citizens are still not ready to give up these habits.

However, analysts warn that price growth could be continued in the coming months, until global markets are stabilized.

Citizens are increasingly elected cheaper brands, buy smaller packages or resort to alternatives, but coffee, at least for now, remains a habit that no one wants to change, writes Tuzla info.
