For the first time in the Club History, the new Homemade Jersey Manchester City for the 2025/26 season is adorned with a celebrity diagonal pattern – design that used to be the trademark of guests ‘citizens’.
The new jersey version combines unmistakable sky blue with a white diagonal line, which is modernized for a new generation of fans.
The Chara was first introduced on jerseys in the 1970s, and were wearing great club players like Mike Summerbee, Colina Bella, Francis Lee and Tony Book. So far, she has been reserved for guest jerseys, but now will be adorned for the first time and domestic equipment.
This jersey symbolically connects the past with the future, while giving tribute to heritage and conquering new hearts of fans around the world.
On the occasion of the launch launch, a special promotional film was also recorded, directed by Glenn Kitson, who brings the spirit of the community and fan passion.
The film appears numerous players, the Earling Haaland, Manuel Akanji, Oscar Bobb and Alex Greenwood, and the main role is legendary John Thompson (the Fast Show, Cold Feet), which leads an unusual talent show.
The film was recorded in the premises of Clayton Official Supporters Club, near the Etihad Stadium, and represents to the communion, football and simple joys – exactly what means being a Manchester City fan.
Marco Mueller, Senior Director of Sports Equipment Department at Puma, spoke about the newspaper of citizens.
“We are excited to be a cult puppy, known with visiting days from the past, for the first time we bring on our home jersey. This is a strong link between different generations of City fans,” the official website of the citizens.
