The Serbian Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church are celebrated by the Great Friday – the day Jesus Christ was killed on the cross – the saddest day of the year.
Christ, arrested in the previous night, was performed in front of Jewish priests for the trial for the accusations of preaching for which they claimed to contradict the religious principles and laws of Judaism.
A larger number of false witnesses, which the first-peculiaries were, among other things, that Jesus talks about the Kingdom of heavenly represent his intention to declare the Jewish emperor to release them from Roman slavery.
This used the priest Kajafa and decided to hand over the Roman governor to Judea – Pontius Pilate, to convict him for rebellion against Rome, which was punished by death.
Pilate handed Christ into the hands of the Jewish King Irod, who returned him back to the Roman governor.
On Pilated questions and claims Jesus was silent or answered only: “You say”, saying it at a moment that “his empire was not of this world.”
Seeing that there were no elements for condemnation, the Roman employee served that a convict was pardoned during the Passover, and the gathered people asked if he wanted freedom for Christ or Varava.
The gathered people, undergradable to Jewish primitnesses, asked for freedom for Varava, and the conviction for Christ, words: “Blood of his children and our children.”
Pilate thus decided, saying, “You condemned innocent.” He then approached the ritual hand washing. Hence the expression of “hand washing” in the meaning of taking off responsibility with themselves.
The convicted Christ sold the soldiers, put him on his head of Trnov wreath and drove him to carry the cross, the cross, which is crucified.
