Bogdanović spoke about Vujošević, who died on April 8 in Belgrade at the age of 68, after the game with Golden State.
“This is a big loss for all Partizan fans, my family and me. While I was there, he was like a family member and even a father figure,” said Bogdanović, who worked with Vujošević at Partizan.
He pointed out that Vujošević will be missed not only as a coach, but also as a person.
“He was special. He didn’t only care about the game, but also about us as people. He encouraged us to develop, bought books, sent us to the theater and museums… He believed that athletes must be an example to young people,” Bogdanović added.
Vujošević will be buried tomorrow, April 14, in the Alley of Meritorious Citizens at the New Cemetery in Belgrade.
