Dinamo players increased their advantage at the top of SuperSport HNL to 13 points ahead of second place Hajduk with an incredible 7-0 (3-0) victory against Osijek in the 28th round. This is the biggest win for Dinamo against Osijek since the HNL was played.
They scored goals for Dinamo Luka Stojković (21), Gabriel Vidovic (31, 62), Miha Zajc (42), Dion Dren Beljo (58-11m, 68) i Josip Mišić (81).
The match was directed after the first 20 minutes, Osijek were the first to create a great opportunity to score, and when they did not use it, they were promptly punished for it, and Zagrepačni did not lose control of the game.
In the 15th minute, it’s Goda cardinally wrong on the left side of the Dinamo defense, missing the ball, Akere got hold of it and ran into the penalty area, but his shot from about 10 meters flew over the crossbar.
Six minutes later a penalty followed for that miss. The people of Osijek only briefly cleared the ball from their penalty area after a corner, it fell to the feet of Stojković who volleyed from 18 meters to the upper left corner of the helpless Malenica.
Dinamo could score a second goal in the 23rd minute when Stojković played past Belja, whose shot Malenica managed to deflect onto the crossbar.
However, cheerful Stojković registered two assists by the end of the first half. In the 31st minute, he found Vidović with a diagonal shot in the corner of the penalty area.
In the 42nd minute, Stojković found Zajc with a short pass, who hit the right corner with a ground shot from 16 meters.
HNL’s top scorer Beljo made it 4-0 by safely taking a penalty kick that was saved by Bukvić with a foul on Bakrar.
Vidović became a double scorer in the 62nd minute, when the fluid action of the home team reached him on the left side of the penalty area, and he “punched” through Malenica with a powerful shot.
The home team continued to fill the visitors’ net in the 68th minute when Beljo deflected Hoxha’s shot from the edge of the penalty area with his heel and deceived Malenica.
The indisposed captain of the guests in the 81st minute “honored” the home captain Mišić and enabled him to enter the list of scorers. Mišić’s ground shot from 25 meters went “through the belly” of Malenica for the final 7-0.
The leading Dinamo now has 66 points, 13 more than the second Hajduk, while Osijek remained second to last with 25 points, five more than the last Vukovar in 1991.
