Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said Friday that the White House had “no oversight” over the review of documents related to the investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein case.
– Let me be clear – they had nothing to do with this review – said Blanche.
– They did not supervise this review. They did not tell this department how to carry out the review, what to look for, what to censor and what not – he added.

Critics have repeatedly accused the Justice Department of withholding documents mentioning President Donald Trump and trying to deflect attention by implying that Democratic officials were involved in Epstein’s alleged abuse.
Blanche has repeatedly denied these claims, categorically stating that “we were not protecting President Trump.”
– There is a mantra that the Ministry of Justice should protect Donald J. Trump – he said. “That’s not true. It’s never been the case. We’re always focused on the victims.”
The deputy chief prosecutor nevertheless admitted that “there is a hunger or a thirst for information that, I don’t think, will be satisfied by reviewing these documents. I can’t influence that.”
