Algeria has asked 12 French Embassy Officers to leave the country within 48 hours, said French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
Jean-Noël Barrot added that this was associated with the indictment against three Algerians in France on Friday, one of which is a consular official.
They were accused of involvement in Last year’s abduction Amir Boukhora (41), an open critics of the Algerian government that has an audience of more than a million people on the Internet. He allegedly received asylum in France in 2023.
Barrot called on Algeria to “give up” from the expulsion and said that France is ready to “immediately answer” if they move forward. Boukhors, also known as Amir DZ, lives in France since 2016.

Plouvier told the AFP news agency that Boukhors was “the subject of two serious attacks, one 2022. And second evening 29. April 2024.”
