The second tennis player in the world, Carlos Alcaraz, reached the round of 16 of the ATP tournament in Barcelona today after defeating the Finnish player Otto Virtanens 6:4, 6:2.
The Spanish player reached the triumph over the 130th tennis player in the world in one hour and 25 minutes.
A break in the eighth game was enough for Alcaras to win the first set, while four breaks were seen in the second part of the game, three of which were made by the Spaniard.
Alcaraz, who was defeated in the finals of the tournament in Barcelona last year, will meet Czech player Tomas Mahač (47th on the ATP list) in the next round.
