The visitors imposed the rhythm from the very beginning, primarily with a solid defense, so they already had a nine-point advantage after the first half. The advantage continued to grow until the end of the first half, which ended with a score of 46:31 in favor of Turkey.
Serbia reacted in the third quarter, played significantly more aggressively and managed to reduce the deficit to only three points before the decisive ten minutes. However, in the dramatic finale, the Turks showed more concentration and confidence, who preserved their advantage and registered a well-deserved victory.
Tarik Biberović was the most effective in Turkey with 22 points, while Cedi Osman added 15. Bogoljub Marković stood out for Serbia with 19 points.
After three rounds, Turkey leads Group C with all three victories, while Serbia has a 2-1 performance. In the same group there are also Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, which tonight in Tuzla measured their strength in the match of the third round.
Already in the next round, there will be a new duel between the same rivals, and the match will be played in Istanbul on Monday at 19:00.
