The House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its last session, accepted the Strategy for Prevention of Addiction in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2025-2035. year.
In the press release, it is emphasized that along with the Action Plan, the Strategy is a key document that defines activities for dealing with the challenges of addiction in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the next ten years, with an emphasis on the danger of addiction for the entire social community, especially young people.
The document is aligned with the conclusions of the Council of the European Union from 2015, and during its drafting, trends and challenges in the field of prevention of various types of addiction in society were taken into account: on drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and addiction to games of chance and excessive use of the Internet. All relevant actors in society, institutions, organizations, as well as the community as a whole will be involved in the implementation of the Strategy, and the development and implementation of the Strategy has been assessed as a key investment in a healthier and safer future for young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the same session, the House of Peoples of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina also accepted two decisions on responsibility.
The first one accepts additional debt on the Loan Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the realization of the Project Corridor Vc, the section Poprikusa – Nemila in length of 5.5 km.
The Second Decision accepted the Framework Agreement on a loan between the Development Bank of the Council of Europe and Bosnia and Herzegovina for the realization of the Sub-project of reconstruction and equipping of two psychiatric hospitals in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Sarajevo and Mostar. Out of about 11 million euros in total indebtedness for Bosnia and Herzegovina, close to three and a half million euros, or 31.12 percent of the total indebtedness, is intended for the Federation.
The reports on the work program of the Agency for Auditing Privatization in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023 and 2024, as well as the Information on Audits of Privatization of State Capital, Business Companies and Banks in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2023 and 2024, were also accepted. The House of Peoples also accepted the Report on the work with the Financial Report for 2023 and the accompanying documentation of the Public Enterprise “Filmski centar Sarajevo” doo as well as the report on the operations of this public enterprise in the last year. The Analytical Report of the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the year 2023 was also accepted.
The session ended with the confirmation of the appointment of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Privatization in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the Committee for Citizen Complaints. Ismet Ramović, Ilija Baotić and Edin Kahrimanović were appointed as members of the Supervisory Board of the Privatization Agency of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The members of the Committee for Citizen Complaints are Emir Mehmedović, chairman, and Ivan Miličević and Selma Ploskić, members of the Committee, he writes Klix.
