Zrinjski was routinely defeated by the idealess Željezničar in Mostar

Igor Štimac’s team dominated most of the game, scored through Ćuže after only two minutes, but VAR canceled the goal of this player.

However, the home team continued to attack patiently, so the celebration arrived in the 19th minute. It was a phenomenal action, the assistant was Kerim Memija, and the realiser was Nemanja Bilbija for 1:0.

Muftić then saved Željezničar with interventions after great chances by Dujmović and Bilbija, and the guests had no real answer in the attacking phase and rarely looked towards Plemić’s goal.

At the end of the first half, Zrinjski scored the second goal. A free kick was awarded on the edge of the penalty area, Marijan Ćavar spectacularly shakes the net of a poorly placed Muftić for 2:0 at halftime.

Željo was a bit more active in the sequel, but the visitors were still the first to threaten. Čuže had another great chance in the 47th minute, but he did not score from an excellent situation.

Then Željo threatened. Pejić shoots from a distance just past the goal post, and then the Blues made several more dangerous moves from which the visitors did not create a real chance until the 78th minute when Jaganjac missed the impossible.

Zrinjski played as much as he had to until the end. Željo failed to return to the match and the score remained 2:0 for the home team.

In the next round, Željezničar awaits Sloga from Doboj in Grbavica, while Zrinjski is away to Bijeljina against Radnik.
