The Alliance of Independent Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the occasion of the Marking 7. October – the World Dignified Labor, was reminded that the workers and workers are the foundation of every society and economy, but not to be understood in Bosnia and Herzegovina and not evaluated in a way that allows them a dignified life.
From the SSSBiH, they point out that while the costs of life grow daily, and the prices of basic foods, housing and energy reaches record levels, salaries remain too low and insufficient inflation.
They add a huge number of employees in our country, especially in the private sector, works for minimal or below-average salaries, which does not allow for a basic consumer basket, let alone life worthy of man.
The union said again that each worker had the right to live with his work with dignity, to provide himself and his family of basic living needs, to have a safe job, respectful working hours, protection at work and social security. These are the principles promoted and the international organization of work (ILO) through the concept of dignified work for everyone.
The Federation of Independent Unions of BiH has called on the other two social partners to take concrete measures to increase salaries in all sectors, alignment of the minimum salary of life, strengthening the system of collective bargaining and trade union rights in every workplace, writes BHRT.
– Dignified work is not a privilege, but the right of each worker. Without fairly paid work, there is no righteous society or actual economic progress. That’s why we use this day to say again: It’s time for work in Bosnia and Herzegovina to finally appreciate! It’s time for dignified work and a dignified life than honest work – it was announced from the SSSBiH.
