The Volkswagen Group delivered 2.69 million vehicles to the Chinese market last year, which accounts for about 30 percent of its total global deliveries in that period, the German car manufacturer announced.
Also in 2025, the company sold 2.57 million vehicles with internal combustion engines in China and introduced a new generation of electrified and intelligently connected vehicles, including the Audi Q6L e-tron and AUDI E5 Sportback models, reports Xinhua.
According to Volkswagen Group China, the company successfully launched its export strategy in 2025, with the first batch of vehicles delivered to the Middle East market. The company will further expand its export operations to markets including ASEAN, the Middle East, Central Asia, Latin America and Africa.
In 2026, the Volkswagen Group plans to launch more than 20 fully electric, plug-in hybrid and extended-range models on the Chinese market. These models will be equipped with advanced battery and electrification technologies, intelligent connectivity and driver assistance systems.
