The working street in Sarajevo covers two local communities – the lower part belongs to the MZ “Kovačići”, while the upper, above transit, belongs to the MZ “Gornji Kovačići”. It is that upper part of the street exudes peace and serenity, away from the city bustle, surrounded by green gardens that reminded of coastal landscapes in summer.
However, instead of breaking lands and gardens in the eyes and residents in the eyes, the view is spoiled by a completely different scene – accumulated trash. Crowded containers and scattered waste have become everyday life. According to the trash often trenches and people and animals, which further contributes to waste spread throughout the street. There is often as soon as possible, the rainbow waste, and the time when the photographs we publish, the right “mountains” of unwanted clothes were thrown in the street.
As we learn, the problem is not new – for years, the inhabitants testify to the same scenes. In search of answers, we contacted KJKP work, from where they have said to us:
“Containers will be discharged in accordance with the waste disposal plan for the specified location. In addition to containers, which in the following week, we will regularly monitor the condition of such a situation on the field (unspecified waste disposal, insufficient number of containers, insufficient Frequency, etc.). On the basis of the observed, we make a decision on a possible increase in the frequency of waste separation or setting additional containers. “
It is also interesting that containers are located right in front of the Office of the local community “Upper Kovačići”. As for the CJKP work, waste has been removed for the next morning, but it is clear that detailed analysis and creative solution is needed to fit in the end of this problem.
