Filip Hrgović registered a new victory in his professional career after defeating Dave Allen by technical knockout in the third round in Doncaster, England. English’s corner threw in the towel and stopped the match to save him from further heavy hitting.
This was Hrgović’s 20th victory in his career. the third in a rowand even the 15th achieved by knockout.
The Croatian heavyweight showed from the very beginning dominance in the ring. Already in the first round he imposed high rhythmpressed Allen against the ropes and completely controlled the fight with a series of punches. A similar picture continued in the second round, in which Hrgović hit precisely with combinations to the head and body, while Allen’s attempts remained without much effect.

It’s Allen could hardly withstand Hrgović’s strong blows and already at the end of the second round he seemed seriously shaken. In the third round, the Croatian boxer increased the pressure, and his right hand constantly pierced the opponent’s guard. The Englishman was trying to find a break in the clinch, but after a new series of powerful blows, he was on the verge of a knockdown. Then it is from his angle towel thrown in and the fight is over.
Hrgović thus continued his winning streak, which now includes three consecutive victories. The last match before Allen was against David Adeleye in August of last year, when he won by referee’s decision, while previously in April he won against Joe Joyce, also by referee’s decision.
After losing to Daniel Dubois, Hrgović is in a rush again and getting closer to a new attack on the title of world champion. English boxer Moses Itauma is most often mentioned as his next opponent.
