FC Velež Mostar expressed deep concern regarding the events that marked last night’s match of the 26th round of WWin League BiH at Pecara Stadium between NK Široki Brijeg and FC Željezničar.
The Mostar club during the match at Pecara was located in Sarajevo where he played a match of the same round against FK Sarajevo later in the week. The Board of Directors of FK Velež Mostar announced on Monday official announcement about events unrelated to their match in which they believe “that the public must receive a complete, impartial and credible report on everything that happened”.

Without intending to prejudge the final conclusions of the competent authorities, we believe that the public must receive full, unbiased and credible report about everything that happened, with a clearly established responsibility of everyone who participated in decision-making and actions on the field and in the stands.
FC Velež Mostar expects an urgent, concrete and impartial reaction from the bodies of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina and all other competent institutions. We expect and determination of everyone’s responsibility who participated in the initiation and escalation of this situation, including officials in charge of the organization and security of the match, responsible for the decision to send police forces to the stands, as well as all police officers who are found to have exceeded their powers, it is stated in the press release.

They said that FK Velež Mostar most harshly condemns any form of excessive use of force and any behavior that threatens the safety and dignity of people at sporting events.
