Two powerful explosions were heard in the eastern part of Tehran on Friday, AFP journalists reported, in an area of the Iranian capital that has often been the target of attacks by the United States and Israel during their military campaign.
Around 18:00 local time (14:30 GMT), the journalist heard two detonations and saw two large clouds of black smoke rising over the eastern part of the city, while a third, smaller cloud of smoke could be seen on the horizon.
For now, it is not clear what exactly was the target of the attack. Shargh daily reported that fighter jets were circling over the area.
