President Trump says he ordered a “determined” military action against rebel huts in Yemen, opening a new attack on the group supported by Iran, which targeted the ship routes in the red sea.
Trump said that the US will use the “huge deadly force” against the group “until we reach our goal.”
“They lead an unrelentive piracy campaign, violence and terrorism against American and other ships, aircraft and drones,” Trump written on Truth Social, writes CNN.
He stated that American staff perform air attacks on the bases, leaders and rocket defense of Hut “to protect American navigation, air and maritime forces and renew freedom of navigation.”
“No terrorist force will prevent American commercial and war ships to sail freely with the world waters,” Trump wrote.
For months he is trying to weaken the abilities of Hut, because that group hinders the international marine route in the Red Sea, one of the world’s busiest floods, claiming that attacks respond to the Israeli war against Hamas in Gaza. The group was targeting more than 100 ships, using drones, rockets and small vessels.
Biden’s administration has tried to respond by performing targeted attacks on Hutu positions in Yemen, including attacks on the underground weapons in October and November, but these attacks did not stop further actions of Hut.
Huti previously promised to break attacks on the ships in the Red Sea until an interruption agreement between Israel and Hamas was held. For more than a year, the group attacked the cargo ships, calling it vindict against Israel due to the military campaign in Gaza, leading to an extended crisis in the transport maritime office corridor.
“This prohibition will continue until it opened into the gauze belt and do not allow food and medicine entry,” Huti told Tuesday.
Earlier this year, Trump signed the order to which Huti declares “a foreign terrorist organization.”
Trump called his message to access Biden’s administration towards Hutom “pathetically weak”, which is why Huti continued the attacks.
“It’s been more than a year since the American shopping ship surely passed through the Sueski channel, the Red Sea or Adeni Bay. The last American warship passed through the red sea, four months ago, it was attacked by Hut more than ten times,” he wrote.
“Funded by Iran, Banditi Huti fired rockets on American planes and targeted our troops and allies. These constant attacks cost the United States and the world economy of billions of dollars, while they were at the same time.” He added.
“For all terrorists Hute: Your time has expired, and your attacks must stop immediately. If not, hell will crash on you like never before!” He said.
The president also sent a message Iran, which supports Hute.
“Iran: Support to the terrorists of Hutom must stop immediately! Those presidents, who received one of the largest mandates in history, nor worldly naval routes. If America will keep it entirely Iran responsible and we will not be mild to you!” He wrote Trump.
