From February 2, tourists and non-residents will have to pay an entrance fee of 2 euros to visit the area around the Trevi Fountain in Rome. The charge will be valid from Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., while on weekends it will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with the last entry at 9:00 p.m.
Free access to the fountain is reserved for residents of Rome upon presentation of an ID card, persons with disabilities and their companions, children under the age of six and tourist guides.
After 10 p.m., access to the Trevi Fountain will be free for all visitors.
