In the period January – November 2025, tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina made 1,845,242 visits, which is 0.1 percent more compared to the same period in 2024. Domestic tourists made 0.2 percent fewer visits compared to the same period in 2024, while foreign tourists made 0.3 percent more visits compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the period January – November 2025, tourists in Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved 3,846,799 overnight stays, which is 0.9 percent more compared to the same period in 2024. Domestic tourists achieved 1.2 percent more overnight stays compared to the same period in 2024, while the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists was 0.7 percent higher compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the total number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists was 29.2 percent, while the participation of foreign tourists was 70.8 percent.
In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists, the most overnight stays were made by tourists from: Croatia with 13.5 percent, followed by Serbia with 10.8 percent and Turkey with 9.9 percent. They are followed by tourists from Saudi Arabia and Slovenia with 5.8 percent each, Germany with 4.4 percent, China with 3.8 percent, the United States of America with 3.5 percent, and Italy and Poland with 3.1 percent each.
The mentioned countries together account for 63.7 percent of the total number of overnight stays, while tourists from other countries accounted for the remaining 36.3 percent of overnight stays, according to data from the BiH Statistics Agency.
According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was achieved within the Hotels and similar accommodation sector with a participation of 93.6 percent, it says Tuzlanski.ba
