According to him, Krunic had humiliated him before, and not being invited to the team for the matches with Slovenia and Israel was the final straw.
“The final straw is today’s list of selectors, on which I am not there. I am probably not there because I am standard in the team? I am a grown man, I respect everyone’s choice, including the selector’s, despite the fact that it is not logical or fair,” Mikulić said, then continued:
“I was one of the most standard players in the championship, but I ended up in the stands twice. Once I got a chance for one minute. I kept quiet and respected every decision of the selectors”.
He also added that after the transfer from Posušje to Grasshoppers, he did not receive an invitation to the national team, while other players in a similar situation were invited.
“I made a historic transfer for my then club Posusje and continued my career at Grasshoppers, but I didn’t get a single invitation, while others got invitations and congratulations,” he stated.
At the end of the message, Mikulić thanked the people from the Association and the fans, especially the BHFanaticos, and confirmed that he is turning to club duties.
“For me, the national team is a finished story as of today. In the future, I want to focus on club duties, and I wish the national team all the luck and much success,” concluded Mikulić.
