The Pan-European Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent a congratulatory message to the head coach of the BiH national football team, Sergej Barbarez, the coaching staff and the players on the occasion of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, noting that this success goes beyond sports, and represents a strong message of unity and the common vision of the country that BiH has on its European path.
“In a time of complex social and political challenges, the national team showed that it is possible to build success on the basis of trust, team spirit and a common goal. Your leadership and dedicated work contributed not only to the sports result, but also to the strengthening of the positive image of BiH as a country that has the capacity for excellence, stability and international affirmation,” the Pan-European Union of BiH announced.
They point out that with this success, the national team has become a true ambassador of our country, sending a strong message about the importance of unity and cooperation.
“We are convinced that this success will further strengthen optimism in society, and be an incentive for further efforts to build democratic values, mutual trust and the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the statement reads.
