Certain batches of infant formulas from the Netherlands of the “Nestle” brand, in which the presence of the cereulide toxin was determined, were delivered to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been informed, through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Animal Feed (EU RASFF), that we are on the list of countries to which certain batches of infant formula originating from the Netherlands have been delivered and in which the presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the pathogenic bacterium Bacillus cereus, has been detected.
The collection of data on the distribution of the disputed series of products is underway, and according to the currently available information, these are products with the following data:

The company Nestlé Adriatic BH doo Sarajevo informed via the nestle.ba website that a voluntary and precautionary recall of certain batches of NAN infant formulas was initiated due to the potential presence of cereulide, a substance produced by the microorganism Bacillus cereus, in one of the supplier’s ingredients used in the batches in question.

The Food Safety Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, until the moment of publication of this information, did not receive an official notification about the recall of the mentioned products from the importer, the relevant inspection bodies, as well as through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Animal Feed (EU RASFF), writes Klix.
