Japanese skaters Miura Riku and Ruichi Kihara won the gold medal tonight in the pair competition at the Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina.
The two-time world champions were fifth after yesterday’s short program, but they performed the free program tonight without a mistake and thus made up for the gap.
They won 158.13 points and in the end a total of 231.24 points, which is their best result in their career.

Anastasija Metelkina and Luka Berulava from Georgia won the silver medal with 221.75 points.

The best after the short program, the German pair of Minerva Fabien Hase and Nikita Volodin, climbed to the last step of the podium with 219.09 points.
