The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today’s session in Sarajevo, accepted the Information of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry on activities on the implementation of the gas pipeline construction project “Southern Interconnection Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia”, and at the same time brought conclusions.
In its conclusions, the Government supported the intensification of activities on the implementation of the “Southern Interconnection Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia” gas pipeline project, including the continuation of the process of concluding an interstate agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
Also, in connection with the process of concluding the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina proposes to form a delegation from all relevant institutions as soon as possible.
The Government authorized the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to inform the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina about this conclusion for consideration and further action.
The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina tasked the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry to inform the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina about this conclusion for further action in order to continue the process of concluding the Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
Also, the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry is tasked with initiating activities on the preparation of amendments to the Law on Southern Interconnection with the aim of enabling the implementation of the project through other models, including the award of a concession, the FBiH Government announced.
