The Spanish basketball Euroleague Baskonia is interested in the Croatian national team member Luka Božić (30), who was named the most valuable player (MVP) of the Spanish league Endesa in March and April in the ranks of last-placed Granada, the Basque newspaper El Correo reported on Sunday.
Christmas, one of the 20 candidates for the best basketball player of the Spanish Championshipthe contract with Granada expires next month.
Baskonia follows the Croatian wing center. He is high on the list of potential reinforcements ahead of the team formation for next seasonEl Correo reported citing its unnamed sources.
The Basque team takes fifth place in the championship with 20 wins and nine losses, and tonight they will visit Valencia, which has won more (21-8) and is in third place.
Christmas is on Saturday s 23 baskets and 32 valorization points led Granada to an 85-74 win on the road at Zaragoza. With that, he extended his team’s slim hope of survival in the first league.
