One of the legends of Slovenian basketball, Jure Zdovc, is no longer the coach of the Greek PAOK.
The Thessaloniki club announced the termination of cooperation after eight months, with thanks for his work and wishes for success in his career.
The key was three consecutive defeats in mid-February, including a narrow defeat in the Eurocup against Bilbao (87:88), then against AEK (71:88), and a heavy defeat in the quarterfinals of the Greek Cup against Panathinaikos (79:68 against Olympiacos in the final of the tournament).
The team will be led by Pantelis Butskos until the end of the season, while Andrea Trinchieri will take over the team from the following season, with an advisory role until its end.
Zdovac has a rich coaching career behind him, he led numerous clubs, and was also the coach of Slovenia.
