Participants who successfully completed the program, 277 of them, passed the oath and thus officially acquired the status of police officers.
Director of the FMUP Police Academy Ervin Mušinović, he emphasized the importance of events not only for cadets, but also for the entire society. He recognized the effort and commitment of participants, but also the contribution of international and domestic partners who enabled the modernization of the curriculum.
– Your commitment and discipline show that you are willing to take over an honorable, but the responsible task, to serve the people, protect the law and ensure the safety of citizens – said Mušinović.
The role of efficient training in the professional police work is also emphasized in the address of the Movlazada Zahida, the Deputy Chief of the OSCE Mission to BiH, which praised the Initiatives of the Federal Ministry of the Interior in the development of new curricula.
According to him, the modernized program ensures that the police are equipped with knowledge and skills for work in complex and sensitive cases, including domestic violence and crimes against young people.
In the name of the XXIX generation of basic police training for the act of the “Junior Inspector” from the Zenica – Doboj Canton, Antonel Nikolić, which thanked the instructors, professors and families, emphasizing the discipline and expertise they gained during training.
She also emphasized the support of the family that participants had during a three-month program, which, as he says, was crucial for their success.
The Federal Interior Minister Ramo Isaac assessed that the new generation of cadets significantly strengthens the capacity of the police in the country.
– These people are willing to respond to all challenges and keep the safety of citizens – is a lack adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina can count on a quality and responsible young police structure.
Additional views of the training from the participating participants gave Armin Ahmetović, reminding of the responsibility carried by the uniform and emphasizing that the service of homeland and citizens remains the foundation of the police call.
– Finishing the Academy Our path of teaching is just beginning. We will carry a uniform worthy and proudly, and the largest reward will be respect for citizens – Ahmetović said.
He also paid special attention to Bojana Urumova, the head of the Council of Europe in BiH, which she emphasized that today’s Generation of Cadets was the first to pass through the new program in which human rights are in the center of the police. Respect for the rights of persons deprived of their liberty, including access to the lawyer and medical care, it pointed out, must not only be on paper, but must be applied in practice.
The ceremony showed that the Police Academy continues the process of modernization and professional training of police staff, with the support of domestic and international partners, with the aim of strengthening the security and trust of citizens in police institutions.
