Borca basketball players qualified for the finals of the “Mirza Delibašić” Cup.
In the semi-finals of the final tournament of the Cup in Banja Luka, the fighter defeated the defending champion Igoke with 87:83.
Igokea opened the match better and had a double-digit lead on several occasions in the first half. At the end of the second quarter, Borac hinted at a turnaround when he managed to get back to only two points behind, and after two minutes of the third period he took the lead.
Igokea did not give up and briefly took the lead again a minute and a half before the end, but the home team were more composed in the decisive moments and achieved the triumph.
The most effective for Borc were Šarić with 20 points, and Makitan with a double-double performance of 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Gavrić also had a double-digit performance with 14 points. At Igokea, the most effective was BH. representative Lazić with 18 points, Gavrilović scored a point less, and Pierre-Louis scored 15 points.
Borac will play in tomorrow’s final at 20:00 against Bosnia from Sarajevo, who beat Široki 90:71 in the first semi-final match.
