The Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and Inter-Ministerial Crime of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Federation of BiH, also known as “Federal Uskok” should finally start at the end of this month.
This factor information was confirmed from the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, where we were told that the BiH judicial and prosecutorial adopted the decisions of the position of prosecutors in a special department, and it is assumed that they should start working on 30. April this year.
Recall, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina was appointed Hrvoje Čabrajić at the session held at the position of a special deputy Chief Federal Prosecutor, ie for the chief of a special department, writes Factor.
At the same session, prosecutors were also appointed in a special part: Aida Bešlija, Amra Mehmedić, Samir Selimović, Nina Šahinpašić, Aid Hadžimailović, Jovo Karić and Medina Džerhanović.
In addition to prosecutors, appointed and judges of the Special Department of the Supreme Court of the FBiH, which are Judges Igor Todorović, Mersudin Province, Senad Osmić, Senad Papović – Mujan, Pavo Radoš and Zeljko Rezo.
The seat of the special department in the former building of the Privredna Bank in Sarajevo is currently adapting and these jobs should be completed soon.
It was previously announced that the “Federal Uskok” should begin in early April. However, as confirmed from the Federal Prosecutor’s Office, everything must have been postponed for the end of the month, due to the abolition of USAID projects, it was not able to equip furniture and materials for special departments, which has previously expressed interest.
The FBiH Federal Prosecutor’s Office and the Supreme Court of the FBiH, therefore, are therefore requested by the Federal Ministry of Finance, the necessary funds for equipping the premises and warned that public procurement procedures must be met.
It is precisely these procedures that slowed the whole process and still last.
The FBiH Prosecution Special Department should be taken over near 300 cases from the cantonal prosecutor’s offices for which clear criteria are established, as well as the weight of criminal offenses.
