In early this year, the decline in the value of furniture exports from Bosnia and Herzegovina continued.
In the first two months, the value of furniture exports was about 156 million KM, which is almost ten percent less than in the same month, 9.8 percent more precisely, the Biznisinfo.ba reports.
This means that the crisis in this industry, which has been present for some time, continues in 2025. years.
Recall, the total export of furniture from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last year fell 10.2 percent to KM 966.5 million. At the same time, imports increased by 9.7 to 303.8 million marks. The year earlier, the export of furniture was billion and 76 million KM, but then it fell by 6.7 percent.

Until that year, the wood industry, including furniture production, grew strongly, and new factories were opened. But then there is a change of trend.

Also, it is necessary to develop a network of promoting the potential of Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to diversify the market.
The unfavorable trend of the export of the wood sector is conditioned by the situation on us the most important markets, in the first row market of Germany where we traditionally export more than 20 percent of BiH’s wood industry product as a whole and more than 30 percent furniture.
