In November of last year, the pro-Orban media and certain actors presented a 600-page document as an alleged economic strategy of TISZA, which contained major tax changes and cuts, should the party come to power. The leader of TISZA, Peter Magyar, rejected the credibility of the document, claiming that it was a lie.
The court has now officially ruled that not a word of Orbán’s announcement is true. Magyar shared this decision on social networks with the comment: “The court found that not a single word of the biggest lie of Orban and his team is true.”
Magyar announced that Orbán and his associates will have more problems with the court in the future, criticizing Orbán’s 16-year rule that began in 2010. He also announced that during the weekend he will present the economic plan of the TISZA party and his leading expert on economics and energy in more detail.
“In just a few months, he will take on one of the most important responsibilities. Starting tomorrow, the contrast between Orban’s amateur economic policy and stagnation and the professionalism and real expertise represented by TISZA will become clearer,” Magyar said.
Peter Magyar, a 44-year-old lawyer, built a career in Fidesz and the state apparatus, and was considered a powerful insider of the Orbán system. However, in February 2024, he broke with Orban and Fidesz due to the presidential pardon in the case of covering up sexual abuse of children. He resigned from all state positions and accused his former party of authoritarianism and systemic corruption.
