This decision was made during an extraordinary online session attended by league president Jure Balažič (KK Krka) and vice-presidents Dragan Bokan (KK Budućnost VOLI) and Ostoja Mijailović (KK Partizan Mozzart Bet).
It is a difficult decision, but made in the spirit of comprehensive responsibility towards the competition, clubs and all participants.
The presidency of the ABA League also unanimously decided that Dubai Basketball will play its home games in the semifinals of the playoffs, as well as the eventual final series, on a neutral court.
The Presidency expresses its full understanding and sincere regret for the circumstances in which Dubai Basketball, one of the extremely important partners and members of the regional basketball family, finds itself.
Aware of the complexity of the current situation and global challenges, the members of the Presidency expressed their full support for the club and the belief that the circumstances will stabilize soon.
With the hope that the current problems will be overcome as soon as possible, the Presidency of the ABA League sincerely expects that Dubai Basketball will again play all its home games in front of its fans in the Coca-Cola Arena from the next season, it was announced.
We remind you that the Dubai Basketball Club ended its temporary stay in Sarajevo and returned home today, before the decision of the ABA League.
It is not known where Dubai will play the next “home” matches, and whether returning to Sarajevo is an option.
