The Swedish Meteorological Agency has issued gale force warnings for most of the northern half of the country, writes the BBC.
All three victims died in Sweden. According to local media and police, a man in his fifties died after a tree fell on him in the Kungsberget ski resort in the south of the country. The northern, regional utility company Hemab confirmed that their employee was killed in an accident at work.
Police also announced the death of a man in his 60s, who died in hospital from injuries sustained after a tree fell on him while he was working in a forest in Hofors, east-central Sweden.

The storm caused huge problems across the region. In Sweden alone, more than 40,000 households were left without electricity, and numerous train lines were also cancelled.
In Norway, around 23,000 homes were without electricity in the Nordland region and an additional 9,000 in the Inland region.
In Finland, where the storm is known as Hannes, the situation calmed down on Sunday morning, but the consequences are still visible – more than 60,000 homes were left without power. Numerous flights, as well as railway and ferry lines throughout the Nordic countries, have been cancelled, reports Index.hr.
Norwegian firefighters in the Nordland region, one of the northernmost regions in the country, had more than 200 storm-related interventions, NRK television reported.
A dramatic incident was recorded at Kittila Airport in the north of Finland. Strong gusts of wind from the runway pushed a Swiss Air passenger plane with 150 passengers and a smaller plane into the snowdrift, the Helsinki Times reported.
The Swiss Air plane had just landed from Geneva and was heading towards the terminal when it was blown off course by the wind. At the same time, the wind also blew a smaller jet, model 400XT, off the runway. Fortunately, there were no injuries in the incident.
