Venezuela’s interior minister posted photos on Instagram of armed police deployed on the streets of Caracas as part of heightened security measures in the capital.
According to the BBC, dozens of military checkpoints have also been set up in the city.
In the meantime, the Union of Journalists and Media Workers announced that the authorities detained 14 journalists on Monday morning, who were later released, reports the BBC.
