FC Željezničar announced that Savo Milošević (52) was appointed as the new head of the coaching staff.
An experienced football expert takes over the management of the first team with the aim of stabilizing the results, strengthening the competitive identity and building a winning culture in accordance with the tradition and ambitions of the Club.
Milošević has rich international experience behind him, both as a player and as a coach. During his coaching career, he led renowned teams and national teams, and is known for his clear tactical discipline, strong authority in the dressing room and commitment to the development of young players.
The new head of the professional staff is coming to Sarajevo together with his complete professional staff, which will consist of his long-term associates – assistant coaches, conditioning coach and analytical team. The club believes that the continuity of work and the coordination of the professional staff will enable the rapid implementation of the sports plan and work methodology.
The new coaching staff will join the team immediately, and the official presentation to the media will be held in the following days at the Club’s premises.
Savo Milošević was born on September 2, 1973 in Bijeljina. In a rich playing career, he played for Partizan, Aston Villa, Real Zaragoza, Parma, Espanyol, Celta Vigo, Osasuna and Rubin Kazan. After ending his playing career in 2009, Milošević was an advisor in the Football Association of Montenegro, then director and vice-president of the Serbian Football Association.
In his first coaching job, he worked in Partizan for a year and a half and then won the Cup. Then he managed Olimpija and the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the end of 2024, he managed Partizan again, and his last job was with Iran’s Nassaji.
