Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense earlier said it had intercepted multiple missiles aimed at an air base where US military personnel are stationed, as well as drone attacks on a major oil field.
The kingdom also said at least two drone attacks targeting the Ras Tanura oil refinery were reported this week.
Prince Khalid posted a message on the X Network on Saturday after a meeting with Pakistan’s army chief:
“We emphasized that such actions undermine regional security and stability, and expressed the hope that the Iranian side will show wisdom and avoid a wrong assessment.”
The Ministry of Defense announced earlier on the X Network that a ballistic missile launched at Prince Sultan Air Base, southeast of Riyadh, had been successfully intercepted.
It was also stated that an attack on the Shaybah oil field was attempted earlier, and that six drones were intercepted in the Rub al-Hali (Empty Quarter) desert.
