The Romanian Election Commission banned GeorgeScu on Sunday to run in May Presidential Elections, which caused violent conflicts and pushed the EU and NATO member who borders war-destructed Ukraine in a deeper uncertainty.

The verdict can no longer be appealed in Romania, which marks the end of Georgescu’s meteoric rise in November last year when he unexpectedly won the first round of the presidential election. The choices were canceled before the other circle.
George Simion, the leader of the far right party aur that supports Georgescu, accused the court for “ridicule Romanian people” and “attack on our democracy and our fundamental rights and freedoms.”
Several hundred supporters Georgescu shouted “thieves” in front of the court building after the Court’s decision was expanded. The fierce critic of the EU and NATO unexpectedly won the first round of the presidential elections in November last year as an independent candidate.
In the shocking move, rare in the European Union, the Romanian Constitutional Court annulled the vote before the second round in December, after the assessment of Russian interference and the “mass” promotion of Georgescu on social networks.
Georgescu, who previously expressed admiration to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and recently presented himself as a great supporter of the US President Donald Trump, denies anything to do with Moscow.
