Manchester City and Spain star Rodri has found himself in an embarrassing situation because of his hobby of flying a drone.
Tenants of the building in Salford, where the football player lives in a luxurious penthouse, claim that the aircraft violates their privacy, and therefore decided to call the police.
According to reports, the 29-year-old midfielder often flies the drone from his balcony, but residents of a nearby skyscraper claim that the drone comes too close to their windows, giving them the feeling that someone is watching them. Because of this, several neighbors contacted the building management, and some went a step further and contacted the police about the possible misuse of drones and violations of privacy rules.
One of the outraged tenants, a truck driver who lives on the 34th floor, described the incident: “We were watching TV one evening when we noticed a green flashing light outside the window.
We saw the drone fly in front of our window and then return to Rodri’s balcony. He has all the money in the world, and he spends his time flying a drone in front of other people’s windows.”
Another tenant also shared his experience: “I live on a high floor and the last thing you expect to see while watching TV is a drone a meter from the window. My partner is very upset.
The advantage of living so high was privacy, but now we are tormented by Rodri and his drone.”
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they had received a report and were investigating.
The plan is to interview the football player to determine if he is familiar with the laws and regulations related to the use of drones and privacy protection.
