The Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Valerij Gerasimov said that Russia has released more than 1,100 square kilometers in the capital area and pointed out that “Kiev’s plans failed”.
“The Ukrainian forces are surrounded in the covers area,” Gerasimov said.
He added that the Ukrainian army suffered severe losses and that Russian forces entered the border Ukrainian Sumile area.
