A representative in the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amir Purić, sent an official request to supplement the agenda of the 28th regular session of this house, asking to include the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Salaries and Remunerations in FBiH authorities, by abbreviated procedure.
In the request, which is dated January 9, 2026, Purić refers to Article 100 of the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, stating that the proposed point should be considered at the same session where the Budget Proposal of the Federation of BiH for 2026, as well as the Proposal of the Law on executing the budget of the FBiH for the following year, will be discussed.
As stated in the explanation, the bill was submitted to the parliamentary procedure on May 28, 2025 by representatives Amir Purić, Damir Nikšić, Admir Čavalić and Slaven Raguž. The basic intention of the legal solution, according to the document, is to achieve multi-million dollar savings in the budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Special emphasis was placed on the provisions of the proposed law that relate to the determination of the basis for the calculation of salaries of elected officials, public office holders and advisers, whereby it is emphasized that this basis would be determined independently of the FBiH Budget Execution Law.
The request concludes that, precisely because of its direct connection with the budget for 2026, it is necessary that this legal proposal be considered simultaneously with key budget documents, in order to enable a full and responsible insight into the fiscal effects of the proposed changes, it says Klix.
