Nezir Pivić Prime Minister Nezir Pivić attended the Ceremonial Session of the Municipal Council on the occasion of 14. October – Dana Municipality of Žepče, together with numerous delegations from all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ceremonial session was attended by the Chair and vice-chairing the Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Ćazim Huskić and Goran Bulajić.
The Dan Municipality of Žepče is marked in the memory of the first written trace about the Žepča dating back to 1458. year when “in Zepča” King Bosanski Stjepan Tomas, given the Charter of Stjepan Ratkovic.
Prime Minister Pivić congratulated the Holiday Chief of Mother Zovka, the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Edin, saying this opportunity “that we all together express ourselves that Žepče, through commitment, responsibility and communion, has been achieved in previous years.”
– Today, Žepce is one of the most stable and most developed local communities in our canton. You are an example of how the planning, cooperation and vision can build a municipality that not only monitors modern development flows, but also actively contributes to the overall prosperity of our canton and the state. We especially appreciate your commitment to the development of infrastructure, education, entrepreneurship support, as well as nurturing cultural and social values. Your access to local development shows that success is possible when local government, citizens, economies and institutions act as partners, not as opposed to the parties – said Prime Minister Pivić.
He said that the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton remains a dedicated partner to the Municipality of Žepče, as well as all local self-government units in this canton, is leading the principles of fair distribution of goods and even development.
– Our goal is the eligible development of all municipalities and cities, with constant support to projects that contribute to improving the quality of life of our citizens – whether it is health, education, social protection or economic development. I am sure that we will continue this successful cooperation in the future, because we can only build a better society – a society in which every citizen will, in every part of our canton, have equal opportunities for progress and dignified life.
Prime Minister Pivic and Chairman Huskic passed the flowers before the ceremonial session and pay tribute to the Šehidski Mezarj in Zepch.
