Members of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, led by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, visited the Ju Dom-parodica in Zenica today, where they distributed New Year’s packages to the residents – children without parental care.
The children expressed their gratitude with an appropriate program, presenting the Prime Minister and ministers with hearts that symbolize friendship and togetherness.
– It is an immense honor for us that, in the second year of my mandate as director of the institution, we can host members of the Government. The children come from all over the canton, and the importance of the visit is reflected in the empowerment of the young people we work with from their childhood to independence. They see that the prime minister is there, that the ministers are present and that the government provides support in their education and independence – said the director of the Ju Dom-poradica Zenica, Halil Arnaut.
Prime Minister Pivić and the ministers enjoyed the performance, and were convinced of the hard work of the children participating in the drama, folklore and literary sections, as well as the dedicated work of the institution’s employees.
Currently, there are 81 residents living in the Zenica Family Home, of which 12 are children under the age of two and a half.
– We are especially proud that we enable different companies, organizations and individuals to come to us, but also that our residents go to them. This is the best way of socialization and inclusion of children in society. An example is the cooperation with the company RM-LH Zenica, where two of our residents gain work experience, live independently and help their brothers and sisters in the institution. We are also proud of the student-proteges who continue their education, including a girl in her second year at the Faculty of Health at the University of Zenica – added Director Arnaut.
ZDK Prime Minister Nezir Pivić pointed out that children are always in focus.
– Children are our future. No child should grow up alone. We are available for everything they need, within the legal limits. We were especially happy with the gathering and the event, because the children showed love and joy – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
