The most interesting part of the season for Široki’s basketball players starts on Tuesday when they welcome KK Jahorina Pale to their court. It is the first match of the quarter-finals of the ABA 2 league.
Play-off ABA 2 league will be played on two winsand the advantage of the home field was secured by the Širokibrježani team by winning the first place in the standings in the regular part of the league.
Same target, same distance and same opponent after a short time. I expect it will be interesting and difficult match. I hope that with self-sacrifice and team play, we will be able to defend the home floor, says the head coach of the home team Marijan Bagarić.
The Jahorina team arrives in Široka Brijeg after two straight defeats. Last weekend they lost away to A fighter 13 difference, and the round before they lost in Mostar against of Zrinjski. A month ago, Široki and Jahorina met at Pecara, and then the home team won 81-71.

Center of Široki Matej Bosniak believes that he will justify the role of favorite in this match.
They brought two good reinforcements, but we we are definitely going for the win. The play-off is specific, eight teams, all tied. There is no team that stands out from the rest, but we will fight and I hope to go as far as possible. We are ready, we have a positive and good streak, but we didn’t take off. We have enough experienced players who keep us grounded and know that nothing will be done lightly. We go from training to training and that’s the only way we can move on, considers Bosniak.
The first leg of the quarter-finals in between HKK Široki and KK Jahorina Pale is scheduled to Tuesday in 20 hours in GSD Pecara.
