Pensions for the month of February will be paid on Thursday, March 5, through the Single Budget Account of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Law on MIE/PIO, it was announced from Federal Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance.
The Management Board of the Institute passed the Decision on the final amount of this year’s first adjustment of pensions (UOFZ 165/26), based on the official data published by it Federal Statistical Office. This decision was also approved by Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Pensions are adjusted by 11.26 percent with application from January 1, 2026. This decision replaced the earlier decision on advance adjustment (11.2 percent), and the difference will be paid with the February pension.
The Institute explains that the final adjustment was calculated based on the growth of the average gross salary in 2025 (16.3 percent) and the increase in the consumer price index (3.7 percent), applying the 60:40 formula in favor of the more favorable factor, which gives a total increase of 11.26 percent for the first half of 2026.
New amounts of pensions
For users who exercised their right by January 1, 2026:
The lowest pension is 666.76 KM (instead of 599.28 KM)
The guaranteed pension amounts to 795.74 KM (instead of 715.21 KM)
The highest pension is 3,333.79 KM (instead of 2,996.40 KM)
For users who exercise their right after January 1, 2026, the guaranteed pension for 40 and more years of service is 842.44 KM. The family and disability pension cannot be lower than 651.92 KM.
A total of 465,965 beneficiaries will receive the February pension, and about 348.5 million KM is guaranteed for payment.
