– We Hungarians know what war is, but that is not the fate we want for our children, we don’t want the mothers of our children to bury their sons on someone else’s land and under someone else’s flag – Orban said in a video message on “Iks”.
He stated that it is time for Brussels and Kyiv to understand that Budapest will not send its soldiers to die for other people’s interests.
– Our sons will not die for Ukraine – they will live for Hungary. We will not sacrifice our sons for someone else’s war – said Orban.
He referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s threats to the Hungarian Government and its officials, as well as to the interruption of the flow through the “Družba” oil pipeline.
– Do you see, Ukrainians? Do you see, Zelensky? This is Hungary. You think you can scare us by blocking the flow of oil, blackmailing and threatening our leaders? Come to your senses and stop it – said the Hungarian Prime Minister.
He noted that anyone who wanted to break Hungary “had to wake up much earlier, hundreds of years earlier.”
