Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinians who moved early in the morning towards the checkpoint for humanitarian aid in Rafah, at least 27 people were killed, Palestinian health officials. This is the third such incident in three days.
They claim from the Israeli army that they were fired on persons who left the marked route and ignored warnings. They state that the figures about the victims published by Hamas is excessive, but that the incident is exploring.
The shooting happened about 4 o’clock in the morning, out of the safe corridor, near the roundabout “Zastava”. Witnesses describe the scene as a chaotic and deadly – people fled, and many returned empty-handed.
The GHF Foundation, which manages the assistance checkpoints, stated that there were no violence in their zones, but that the shooting was out of the controlled area.

Health authorities in Gaza said almost all victims had gunshot wounds. Among those killed is three children and two women. The Red Cross confirmed the reception of 184 wounded persons in the hospital in Rafah, of which 27 were passed away.
The UN has condemned the attack, assessing that Palestinians choose between hunger and death death by trying to arrive to food.
Nearly two million hazels depend on the help, and Israel is almost completely blocked by the entry of the convoy from March. The UN rejected a new distribution system within Israeli military zones because they say, enables Israel to use assistance as a means of war.
Meanwhile, three Israeli soldiers died in the explosion in northern Gaza, which is one of the deadliest attacks on the Israeli forces since March.
