A new collective agreement for employees in the ZDK interior Ministry was signed at the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
Police, whenever other budget users, 1. January this year received a 10-percent increase in salary, and the new collective agreement envisages the right to improve the rights for about 1,000 police officers in this canton.
The new collective agreement is, among other things, an increase in salaries for work at night with 30 to 35 percent, for the day of weekly vacation with 20 to 30 percent, passive duty with 10 to 20 km.
– The collective agreement brings benefits that are significant and specific to members of the Ministry of the Interior, and are also envisaged by collective agreements at higher levels. This is proof of one continuous investment in the material status of our employees – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
He reminded that in the mandate of the Government he led, the last year and a half, the salary of the members of the MUP increased by about 20 percent and entered numerous additional rights. In addition, significant funds have been invested in the procurement of police equipment, “to perform their job as well as possible and improve the safety of citizens.”
– This year, for capital investments in the Ministry of the Interior and the procurement of police equipment allocated a record 10 million KM and it is the largest allocation so far – said Prime Minister Pivić.
Emergency Minister Emir Vraco said that the new collective agreement would be valid for three years, repeating that the government was committed to continue to invest in strengthening the material-technical and personnel strengthening of the police.
The President of the Ministry of the Interior of the Ministry of the Interior of the MUP Vlatko Popov said that the new collective agreement will also be recognized the right to increase the annual holiday from a maximum of 30 on 36 working days, while the minimum day of the annual vacation remained 20 working days.
– These are general benefits that are important not only for existing police officers, but also new young colleagues and colleagues – Popov said.
