Several NATO partners formed a coalition for the support of Ukraine in the ability of “electromagnetic warfare,”, the German Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius announced on Friday.
Packing to journalists in Brussels before the Meeting of the Ukrainian Contact Group for Defense, Pistorius announced that Germany and its allies will strengthen the support of Ukraine in response to Russian attacks.
“As you know, we help Ukraine to develop military capacities, not only for the present but also for the post-war period,” Pistorius said.
He noted that allies and partners have already formed eight coalitions to support Ukraine in different areas, including artillery, armored vehicles and missile defenses.
“Germany has now formed the ninth coalition, with ten partners who have joined today. This coalition focuses on electromagnetic warfare – an increasingly important field that involves insurance of own communications, reconnaissance, hosting communications and defense of drones,” he said.
